Spoon & Sprout began as Grab ‘Em Snacks — plantain chips from freshly peeled green plantains, organic spices and sea salt. Founder Geetha Jayaraman, a lifelong vegetarian and certified plant-based nutritionist (eCornell), grew it into a full plant-based kitchen across catering, pop-ups and snacks.
Mostly self-taught in the spice capitals of India and Malaysia, Geetha leads with flavor and nutrient density — minimizing processed meat-substitutes in favor of pulses, whole grains and her own SoyFree Tempeh. She made Houston home in 2021 to grow plant-based prepared foods that help anyone eat well, boost immunity, and tread lighter on the planet.
